Photo Effect is a Symbian application that allows you to add effects to pictures taken on your phone's camera.
Photo Effect could be the Symbian equivalent of Instagram for iPhone, or Flickr for Android. That's to say, it lets you spice up photos by applying interesting special effects to them. Like Instagram and Flickr, you can then share your creations with your friends.
There are 10 different effects and filters to choose from in Photo Effects, ranging from enhanced color to sepia. You can also add borders to images to make them stand out even more. It's very easy to apply effects to photos thanks to the simple user interface in Photo Effect.
Annoyingly, you can only use Photo Effect to add effects to photos that are taken using the app. That's to say, you can't select images from your phone's gallery and apply effects to them. This is a major disadvantage because it limits Photo Effect's usefulness.
There are no editing options in Photo Effects either, so it's not possible to tweak images using the app - only to apply effects.
Photo Effect offers and easy way to improve your camera phone pictures, though it's functionality is limited.
